About Me

I earned my PhD while working in Dr. Laura Hurley’s lab at Indiana University, working closely with the Center for the Integrative Study of Animal Behavior (CISAB). Alongside dissertation work and assisting with courses, I happily served as the graduate student representative at Indiana University’s Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee, where for four years I was able to learn about animal welfare and how it intersects with research from “behind the curtain”.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading horror, science fiction, and nonfiction, crafting, and spending time with my wife and our five (!) pets.
